Medical Coder II - Pediatric ENT Associates

• Job Summary
  • Employee is responsible for coding of surgical cases, clinical visits and hospital consultations according to the current ICD-9-CM and upcoming ICD-10 Basic Coding Guidelines and CPT AMA Coding Guidelines for a physician surgical practice. Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results as appropriate to extract data and apply appropriate ICD-9-CM/ICD 10 Basic Coding Guidelines and CPT codes for billing and reporting.
• Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of an AHIMA approved Coding Certificate Program required.
• Experience
  • Three years coding experience, preferably of surgical cases. ENT experience preferred. Must be proficient at data entry, use of Internet and use other software applications.
• Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
  • CPC
