  • Job Summary
    • Provides individual and /or group counseling for children who have experienced child abuse and their families. These services include intake, prevention, intervention and support, referrals, follow-up and documentation of treatment, community outreach, court testimony, and multidisciplinary coordination of services for CHIPS patients. Participate in the development of training materials for the clinic, in-service programs and presentations.
  • Education
    • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or Child Development
  • Experience
    • Two years experience with child abuse preferred. This can include graduate internship or field placement.
    • Knowledge of counseling theories, principles, ethics, methods and practices; trained and experienced in providing individual and/or group counseling.
    • Good interpersonal skills; ability to work independently but seek and accept supervision and consultation as needed.
    • Previous Play Therapy a plus
  • Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
    • ALC, LPC, MSW, LGSW or LICSW State license or license eligible required
