Job Summary
-
Provides individual and /or group counseling for children who have experienced child abuse and their families. These services include intake, prevention, intervention and support, referrals, follow-up and documentation of treatment, community outreach, court testimony, and multidisciplinary coordination of services for CHIPS patients. Participate in the development of training materials for the clinic, in-service programs and presentations.

Education

Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or Child Development

Experience

Two years experience with child abuse preferred. This can include graduate internship or field placement.

Knowledge of counseling theories, principles, ethics, methods and practices; trained and experienced in providing individual and/or group counseling.

Good interpersonal skills; ability to work independently but seek and accept supervision and consultation as needed.

Previous Play Therapy a plus

Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries

ALC, LPC, MSW, LGSW or LICSW State license or license eligible required
