The neuropsychologist is expected to see an array of neurological conditions, with some opportunity for specialization based on interests and expertise and clinical needs. Additional Information

Children’s of Alabama has two Behavioral Health outpatient clinics; one location is the Ireland Center (on the campus of Children's of Alabama Hospital) and the other location is an offsite location at Patriot Park, 200 Wildwood Parkway Birmingham, AL 35209.
Our treatment team is comprised of Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Licensed Psychologists, and Licensed Therapists to provide multidisciplinary care for our patients and families.
Our outpatient clinics offer individual and family counseling for children, adolescents and their families.  Our providers work with patients and families to address and mitigate behavioral and mental health issues including, but not limited to ADHD, mood disorders, and medication management for related disorders.  We provide crisis clinic appointments for those patients assessed in the ED to be in need of urgent outpatient services, but do not meet inpatient or PHP admission criteria.  In addition, we offer bridge clinic appointments to existing patients who have missed the most recent appointment with their prescriber or who have an urgent need to see a prescriber before the next scheduled appointment.  We provide social service counseling that provides brief solution focused support to families as well.

For the 14th consecutive year, Children’s of Alabama is ranked among the nation’s best children’s hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Children’s remains the #1 children’s hospital in Alabama for the second consecutive year, according to the 2023-24 Best Children’s Hospitals Survey. “Being nationally ranked among the leaders in pediatric healthcare is a strong testament to the hard work, dedication and expertise of our entire staff and our physician partners at UAB Medicine,” said Children’s CEO and President Tom Shufflebarger. “Our goal is to continue to provide exceptional care, service and comfort to the patients who are entrusted to us for medical care.”
