House Supervisor (Shift)

• Job Summary
  • Coordinates the intake and placement of all admissions and intra-unit transfers in accordance with the Children’s of Alabama House Coordinator Guidelines and Admission Policy. Collaborates with physician and nursing staff to prioritize admissions and intra-unit transfers based on medical needs. Communicates and collaborates with all departments as appropriate to maximize efficiency of bed utilization and expedite the throughput process. Serves as a designated leadership representative accountable and responsible for coordinating provision of efficient patient care operations on their assigned shifts.
• Education
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience
  • BSN required or must be obtained within 2 years with at least 4 years experience at Children's of Alabama required including 2 years of recent pediatric nursing experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
  • BLS certification required. AL Nursing License required.
