  • Job Summary
    • Clinical/administrative responsibility for clinical specialty area.
  • Education
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Experience
    • ADN with at least 7 years of nursing experience, preferably pediatrics, in an outpatient setting. Or a BSN with 4 years of nursing experience, preferably pediatrics, in an outpatient setting. Or MSN with at least 3 years of nursing experience, preferably pediatrics, in an outpatient setting. Management experience preferred.
  • Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
    • Current AL RN license
    • Current BLS Certification

Additional Information

The Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Division at Children's of Alabama provides comprehensive multidisciplinary evaluation and management of pediatric gastrointestinal, liver and nutritional problems. These may include conditions such as liver disease, feeding disorders, eosinophilic esophagitis, functional GI disorders, intestinal rehabilitation, and inflammatory bowel disease. Academic Fellows, Residents and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners also provide world-class, disease-specific care in this area under the supervision of the attending MD.

Multidisciplinary patient-centered care is the focus of the Division. Close interaction with Pediatric Surgery, Radiology, Pathology, Anesthesiology and Nutrition services provide ample opportunity for optimizing patient care.
