Child Care Provider

• Job Summary
  • A caregiver’s primary responsibility is to provide a safe and nurturing environment every day for the children in our care while offering peace of mind to their parents
• Education
  • Must be at least 19 years of age and have a high school degree or equivalent.
  • Preferred educational requirements:
    • Related degree (Bachelors, Associates) in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field including Elementary Education, Special Education or Child Life
    • Child Development Associate (CDA)
• Experience
  • Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice and NAEYC accreditation guidelines.
  • Complete a minimum of 12 hours of child care provider training in the first 30 days of employment.
  • Complete a minimum of 12 hours of training each calendar year of employment.
• Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
  • Meet federal, as well as individual state requirements (i.e. physical, OSHA) and maintain credentials for the position (i.e. ongoing training).
