Job Summary

Responsible for the performance of medical equipment, preventive maintenance, repair, calibration, and equipment management. Responsible for customer relations in reference to patients, visitors, hospital staff, physicians, and fellow Biomed technicians. As a Biomedical Equipment Technician, in order to carry out the specific responsibilities outlined below the Vision of the Hospital – A BETTER CHILDHOOD FOR ALL CHILDREN – must be ever present. Associate degree/certificate (2 year) level in Biomedical Equipment Technology

Experience
-
Two years experience in Clinical Engineering.

Requirements to include one of the following:<P>
1. Bachelor's Degree in Health Related Science<P>
2. AAMI Biomedical Equipment Technician Certificate (CBET)<P>
3. Documented Equipment Service Training in specialized equipment related to the function of the TCHS as determined by the Director of Biomedical Engineering
